Also (and this is just for my livejournal peeps, you're special!) tomorrow I'm sending out a book proposal to publishers! It sounds so exciting and it's really... not that exiting! You just make a sheet or like a document and send it off. The exiting thing is hearing back! People telling you they hate your idea! (Hopefully not D: ) Well I just needed to get that off my chest you guys :) I love livejournal :)

Would everyone who's still reading this be mightily annoyed if I forward my blogspot to automatically post here as well? Posts would be in Dutch, and less about my life and more sort of theme-like, about knitting socks and making jam and so, but at least we'd still be in touch? I forget to update my journal all the time and I think it might not be so bad? But I don't want you all to hate me :)

I missed it too much... So I made some things to sell again. Even though every item takes 100+ hours to make and I hardly make any money, selling online is just so nice. So, here's my Etsy shop up and running again :) This time around I'm focussing on recycled stuff, sweet florals, and pioneer dresses. Shop away my darlings, and any promotion would be very welcome!

I knit a bunch of socks with this yarn that changes colour by itself. Nice! It was hard to get some matching pairs out of it though, I managed two proper pairs and two sorta similar socks XD

I'm a bit sad because we're changing our home. We hope to sell it in the future and live a bit bigger, so we're making everything proper and all adult-like. I'm quite sad because I don't like change, and I don't like white walls. I like my dollshouse and don't want to live anywhere else. I'm sharing my fave pictures of my home from when it was still proper, just to ease my soul :)

Even though I think it's somewhat despicable how nowadays so many bloggers are "bought" by the industry, and half of the blogs are just giveaways and product reviews, instead of cool girls making things themselves, I do envy bloggers a bit. I mean, free stuff yeah? Everyone likes free stuff! I get a lot of books for my history blog but my other blog is about not buying stuff, so I had little chance.

But this week, I was gifted free stuff! Organic, no-paraben, nothing-artificial shampoos and creams. Haaa I feel validated as a blogger now! Sad, I know.

I gave T a car for christmas (Volvo Amazon) and today we moved it illegally. It's not allowed on the streets because it isn't insured (or roadsafe, really) so we chose a tuesday morn because that's when police are at ease (we think!) It was NERVE WRACKING! The car kept breaking down because the fuel pipes were clogged, and then it ran out of fuel and I had to hurry of and get fuel so that we could continue our 5 mile trip... In the end we made it and were rewarded with soup, yeah! And no police-bill, also pretty important.

I cannot access my Flickr :(

I got one of the last quinces, made quince syrup. I don't know if I like the taste :(

Braid update! I plan to donate my hair but sometimes I think I'll keep it allllll! :D

It was never my ambition to be paid for my photography. I just saw the great amounts of amateur photographers who are average-to-kinda-good and who own photoshop, trying to make it in the professional world. I didn't want to spoil my fun and independence by trying to make money with it. Strangely, right now I'm paid to photograph (well right now I'm in fact paid to blog to you all XD)

My favourite collegue, the one in charge of IT, website and social media was fired recently. And the collegue who did my job before I was hired (taking calls, sending emails, arranging deliverystuff) turned out to really miss her old job. Hence, I am now in charge of all product photography, all cool photography for our social media and cooking up things for our recipe site. It felt ODD odd odd. I have a camera (Canon urgh) and a light box and a photoshop without my favourite plugins.

It's very strange to make smoothies during worktime and take pictures of them, arranged cutely in nice glasses with some fruit. I just thought I'd let you know.

Here's some of my pics.

I like my car, but I also really like biking to work. I like tricking out my bike with things I'll need, I like trucks that look like christmas trees and blink all sets of their lights at me to signal I can cross first, I like having some fresh air before being stuck in an office all day. Most of all, I like all the sunrises and sundowns.

I'm behind on blogging! I did a great many things recently. The more hours I work, the more productive I'm at home, weirdly. I worry for my camera because some days it doesn't focus at all. I'm very careless with it and undoubtedly it was dropped many times, so I hope it's just the lens :( Buying a new camera would suck pretty bad because I love this one so.

First of all: I made ketchup. It was friggin delicious! Google for a ketchup recipe and make it and you will thank me.

I'm not generally a very vain person these days. I have no problem going without makeup, wearing old boy's jeans, or not looking good in whatever way. People who are not on my friendslist are free to comment as well!

This bag is pretty faded, the back is noticable darker than the front. Still cute though, and pretty sturdy. Shipping would hopefully be 3-6 euros (if I just wrap it in a plastic bag) but there's a small change it's a bit more expensive, if the wrapping is too heavy.

DSC_8748
DSC_8751
This skirt has a separate overskirt, and a pin-on bow. It's extremely tiny, really typical AP sizing. Be prepared to hold your breath! It's a fun skirt with a sort of glitter in it.
Shipping would be between 8 euro (within europe) to 11 euro (outside).

DSC_3059
Also these trousers, a heavy wool type trouser dating from the 50s, the label saying they were made in eastern Germany. They are a size small but not ridiculously tiny. I have very sensitive skin and the wool is a little scratchy to me, so. They're well nice though and maybe someone wants them. Shipping probably 8-11 euros as well.

I unfriended a whole bunch of accounts that I did not recognize at all, which means they're either dead or not posting. If this is you and you want to be my friend, let me know (and update more!)

Being on Livejournal for a million years, my friendslist has become this huge 10-page item with all kinds of people who left long ago, but still count me as a friend. It's hard to navigate and makes me a little angry every time.

Sometimes I think my journal became so boring, I wish to have an amazing journal and go on all kinds of adventures. You know those blogs you find sometimes, that are just enchanting? I feel it would not be worth it for me to go over to other blogging platforms because I have so little to offer, I'm just here because my friends are here.

Do you read any blogs that are just breathtakingly beautiful, that transport you to another world? I don't just mean a girl in a vintage frock baking a cake in a matching kitchen, I mean really jaw-dropping hair-raising wonderful?

I'll give you one that is one of my favourites: http://prettysmartgirlart.blogspot.nl/

The second part of our travel brought us to Norway. We never meant to go to Norway, but when we found ourselves close to the border we just decided to go. Norway was an amazingly beautiful country, full of mountains, nicely coloured houses, strange skies, mist and fog. I liked it a lot.

People in Noway were extremely pleasant, very helpful and they all spoke perfect English. Also important: people in Norway were EXTREMELY goodlooking! Our campingsite host kind of looked like a cross between that Russian dude in Sex and the City and a lumberjack or very cool troll. It was the coolest man we ever saw.

Strangely, Norway reminded me of Japan in some ways. A sparse but balanced architecture, the use of colours. A careful picking out of nature in some parks. But it might have just been influenced by my reading Memoirs of a Geisha (I loved it!)
